How We Work

Our Approach

Every service at Harbor Willow is shaped by a single principle: that the elderly adults in our care deserve to be treated as whole people, not as cases to be managed. Our approach is attentive, flexible, and honest.

We Listen First

Before any placement, we speak with families carefully to understand what a prospective resident truly needs — and to be honest about whether Harbor Willow is the right fit.

We Adapt Thoughtfully

Residents are not expected to fit around the home — the home adjusts around them. Mealtimes, activities, and daily rhythms are shaped with each person's preferences in mind.

We Stay in Touch

Families receive updates without having to chase us for them. We communicate openly and promptly whenever something — good or concerning — is worth sharing.

How settling in works

1

Initial family conversation — we speak by phone or in person to understand the prospective resident's background, preferences, and needs.

2

Home visit — families are invited to visit Harbor Willow, walk through the home, and meet staff before any decision is made.

3

Move-in — on the resident's first day, a dedicated staff member accompanies them through the home and stays nearby for as long as needed.

4

First week check-in — we contact the family after seven days to share how the resident has been settling in and address any questions.
